I've been a mod on other forums (not related to this) and to be fair to the role, there's like 1000 active threads at any one time here.
Get 10 reports for each case, reading through them all, acting? Even at 2 minutes (optimistically) per case from view to block? for 1 person that's about 33 hours.

The posts get deleted and accounts banned so someone is doing something… even if it’s automated . Reposting or simply reacting is just dumb. How hard it is to report ?
