I was wondering what happened?? There's been so many amazing scenes that never got posted anywhere.
Holy crap, that's horrible. Feel bad for people who had to go through all that. Pretty low of them to threaten people like that honestly.Early last summer, Grooby added some kind of digital watermark to their videos that connects them to the account that downloaded them. Apparently, they've gone after the sharers they've snared with this via the old-school 2000s porn industry pirate punishment playbook: threaten legal action, force settlements calculated based on each video distributed, use the name-and-shame power of a genre that still causes embarrassment in more conservative circles to pretty much get whatever they want out of the people they catch. Poke around on the major porn DDL sites, and you can find horror stories from people they IDed.
I would imagine there are ways around this. Grooby accepts payment methods like crypto and gift cards from the major CC companies that don't require divulging personal info, for example, and a bit-by-bit comparison between identical videos from different accounts ought to provide some idea of exactly how they're doing it and how to disable it. So far, though, nobody's been both ambitious enough to try and willing to shoulder the risk. It sucks, and particularly so in this case because Grooby has the single most ridiculously convoluted and expensive pricing scheme I've seen in online porn, but it is what it is.
I have eared about that but technically speaking if you just re-encoded the vids with ffmpeg you will get rid of the watermark I guessEarly last summer, Grooby added some kind of digital watermark to their videos that connects them to the account that downloaded them. wow such a scummy method to those that embarrassed they beat it to dudes thinking their women but that scare tactic is low even for those scummy sleaze bag fucks running the show.Early last summer, Grooby added some kind of digital watermark to their videos that connects them to the account that downloaded them.
